We're due to spend a couple of days with rellies and we're starting to get really wound up. It feels like the whole thing's going to kick off with the slightest spark.
Is this normal?

I will carry the day forth as my usual grumpy caustic self.
Perhaps giving the odd false grin and sarcastic laugh at inopportune moments.

It depends on the company you keep and you cynicism of the whole event.
If your inner voice is calling for you to drink whatever is in sight that will make you so sozzled that you are totally detached from anything that happens during that very day. Then maybe, that voice is me.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for myself, I'm out crimbo eve. I don't expect to come home being able to use my legs

Feeling very tense - got a headache and I haven't even been drinking
Just the thought of leaving the house over Christmas and doing the "visiting" lark is doing my head in

Tommorow is ok we are at my mums, think peace and tranquility and polite jokes, then at the in laws on Boxing day, 17 people, several dogs and they do like to shout, no they like to bellow. I am driving tommorow so I can have adrink at the in laws so I can cope with it, I liken it to the start of Hitchikers where Ford and Arthur down a couple of pints to make the jump to the Vogon spacshup less of a jolt to the system.

We're starting visting tonight, just to the mother in laws though, thats if she doesnt decide to come here instead, then we have Shannon to get to bed and get all her presents out of hiding and under the tree, then tomorow probably see mil again and my mam and gran, maybes sister in law and her brat
Boxing Day is my birthday, going to stay at my mams and go to a party (someone else with the same birthday)
27th come home then the 28th is our wedding anniversary so going out again, the following week I shall mostly be sleeping

It's one day after Christmas
I'm crabby and I'm broke.
I'm so full of ham and fruitcake
I think I'm gonna croak.
It's nice to see the relatives
I wonder when they'll leave.
They've been camping in my bathroom
since early Christmas Eve.
They're eating everything in sight
and sleeping in my bed.
I been sacked out in the basement
with my beagle, Fred.
The relatives have all gone out
and left their screaming brats.
The toilet bowl is all plugged up
and I can't find the cat.
It's Christmastime at my house,
the relatives are here.
They eat me out of house and home.
and drink up all my beer.
I love the decorations,
and the sleigh bells in the snow
But I wish those pesky relatives
would take their kids and go.
Those cookie crunchers fed the dog
a twenty pound rib roast.
His feet are sticking in the air
like skinny old fence posts.
Now they're in a free-for-all,
the girls against the boys.
They're fighting over boxes
'cause they're bored with all their toys
My mother-in-law is snoring
in my favorite TV chair.
Those kids are stringing lights on her
and tinseling her hair
I oughta wake her up
before the fireworks begin.
But I wanna see those blue sparks fly
When they plug her in.

I find the f*** you all route is quite appropriate.
Make sure your fueled up with alcyhol beforehand and get in their early, which clear the air of pent up "opinions". Then by afternoon you should be fast asleep and dead to world![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've had a numbetr of beerts, half a bottle of port (99 vintage), about to have some tea, then Ill be off to finsih the night out at my Irish boozer. Which, according to my calculation will make sure I'm still bladdered the next day.
If not, It'll have top be the Vokda (which as a rule, I don't drink, but sometime I have to make exceptions).
My cheapskate solicitor friend gave me a bottle of "Vodkat" WTF
Hopefully it'll suffice. ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
