Question TOMTOM ONE GB - Speed Sensitive??

TOMTOM ONE GB

Says that the volume increases with the speed of the car - how the hell does that work then??

The NavMan F20 has proved to be a pile of pooh out of the box - and, as much as I hate it, I may have to join the Tom Tom sheep

Whats bad about Tom Tom??

Well I'm going to resist the urge to point out that the sat nav might know how fast you're going and to alter the volume is a piece of cake

Plus points of a Tom Tom - Display is very clear - sounds strange but when you get to a roundabout with lots of exits it makes life very easy.

Possible minus point - Expect to pay to update the maps every couple of years to add new roads etc. I hate to say it but that's about the only minus point I can come up with.

Just look at the other models in the range before you buy - they do RDS or GPRS traffic add-ons for some models.

Thanks for that ..... I completely missed the fact that it knows how fast you are going

Maybe the NavMan F20 still has the edge over the TOM TOM then - just that the Navman is just sat here doing diddly squat and I hate products that are new and don't work!!
