Default Poker Rules?

Can you make a straight from just one of the cards in your hand and four of the community cards? Or do you have to use both cards in your hand?

dont think you have to use both of your cards, its just make the top five strongest. sometimes the 5 community cards could be stronger than anyones hand.
does this solve a family christmas arguement?
cheers
have a good un

so say there is 3,4,5,6,King on the table and you have 7 and a queen in your hand. You can use the 7 from your hand and the 3,4,5,6 from the table to make a straight of 3,4,5,6,7

Can anyone else confirm this, I want to be perfectly sure I am right before I argue again lol

Yes, just one card in your hand is fine.

So if theres ace, 2, 3, 4 on the table, and you have a 5 and a 10 in your hand, then you have a straight

Check out this hand i once had whilst playing online, took the screen print, cos i knew no-one would believe me

Its the only time in my life ive had a royal flush
Wouldnt suprise me if iy never happens again tho

Yep its the best 5 card hand from the 7 available - assuming your playing Texas Holdem. So if only 1 person has a 7 in their hand they win the pot, if 2 then they split it.

I cant play online - I get bored and start doing other things in the background and lost my concentration.
