Highs:
1. Big payrise at work for once
2. Keeping house I bought with ex
3. Realising that splitting up with ex is a good thing in the long run
4. Refinding the sport of wakeboarding - shame it was half way through the summer but roll on 2007
5. Realising how fit the girl next door is
Lows:
1. Splitting up with girlfriend of 4 years
2. Work got very stressful
3. No proper holiday (booked but cancelled due to 1)

No overtime for 6 months
Rubbish summer bonus
No Christmas Bonus
(A result of having 2 big construction projects canceled)
Worst year for business. Every project went wrong along the way (no fault of our own)
Highs
Finally bought a GameRacer with the new Xbox 360 steering wheel
Roll on 2007. Good riddance 2006

Oh the whole, a bl00dy great year - a time for putting a lot of affairs in order. Lots of opportunities as well.

My Dad having a heart attack
My Gran dying at nearly 103
Highs -
My Dad surviving a heart attack
The birth of my first nephew

Having a positive mental attitude throughout the year (pretty much)

On balance, '06 was a good year Quite some marriages and births in my circle, but no divorces and only one untimely death

Material side was satisfactory - with sizeable pay rises and returns on investments etc.
