OK, is it a contract phone or a pay-as-you-go?

Ah......well I know that if you're on a contract you can a code from Vodafone which allows Orange to port your number over to their network

I suggest you ask Vodafone the question and they will probably tell you the same

The only issue that you might face is that the handset might be locked to the Vodafone network but you should be able to find a place in your town that unlocks phones for a reasonable price

to port your number you need to contact your service provider ie Vodafone then contact orange and give them the details takes about a week i think

If you store the numbers on your phone when you sswap cards your numbers will still be on the phone.

as for cost, not sure as ive necver done it

you need a pac code, Orange charge £14

you get your new phone which if contract is a gsm non network locked item.

you run your old sim until the change happens, then you insert your new sim,

which has your number sent/ transferred to it.

For p&g i believe that you have to use the new number for around 14 days,

then its transferred automatically as above
