Default Back dating expenses

I've forgotten to fill my expenses in since April 06. I've spoken with the accountant and he says they can only back date for 6 weeks!!

(Time for a new accountant?)

I'm sure they could back-date for 6-12 months.

Does anyone know anything different? I couldn't find an IR link that says so.

That's not true.

I've backdated mine for up to five months without problems.

I'm freelance, and use and "umbrella company" for accounting/taxing purposes.

Hello

I have claimed expenses from over 6 months. Admitedly no-one was particularly happy and it messes up budget predictions ...

Strange, the accountant hasn't replied since me querying it.

Stil haven't found anything from Inland Revenue or similar to confirm this....
