Default Red Arrow Parcel SCAM????

Wife got a phone call yesterday regarding a parcel delivery from a company calling themselves RedArrow.

I get quite a bit through the post so she rang me to let me know, but I go t suspicious when she said it was a recorded message and that it wanted me to call a permium rate number - 0905 003 5566 - to arrange delivery.

I suspect that this is a scam, but cannot find anything specific about this number or the company when searching the web.

Anyone know if it is or not?

The call ended by saying that if I did not arrange collection then the item would be sold and the money goes to charity - now what delivery company in their right mind would do that

If they'd genuinely tried to deliver a parcel to your home address they should have posted a card through the letterbox informing you of this. This card would have given you the address and phone number of the depot (normally an 0845 number).

Up to you what you do in the end though.

Hi mate. I believe this is a scam. They also have a card posting scam going on, where by they post a card through your door with the number on. Think number charges you £5 min if not more, they say will sell if you dont arrange pick up /delivery due to you keep phoning!!!!!!!!!!! More Money for them.

Not sure of Company name though, but that is errelevant due to you just phone them.

Phone BT and ask them.

Yep its a scam.

I heard about this a while ago. If you ring the number you are calling some gits in the far east that charge 15.00 for the call + X amount per minute

D'OH!

With the benefit of a few pints of Stella, I've managed to confuse Red Star and White Arrow.

You know what I meant

Wink

They must find it difficult trying to deliver parcels in airplanes with multi coloured smoke coming out the back, especially if they have to remain syncronised with the other planes at the same time.
