its supposed to mean toughened safety glass - could it also mean this ?
the important bit is, can I use the word "EINSCHEIBE" on its own to denote "toughened" ?
NB: I've tried all the free translation software on the net and it doesn't work for this example

Safety Glass is "Sicherheitsglass"
Toughened is "Verstärkt"
Normally "Sicherheitglass" is all you would call it.

"Einscheibe" simply means one pain or sheet.

Hmm i would say thats not correct mate, Eine Scheibe means one pain or sheet. Never heard of Einschiebe as a whole word before.
All the others above are fine.
