Not got any of the above, but I have a 20" Toshiba (widescreen) with built in freeview, not sure of the exact model 20wlt something I think, and it's superb.
I've done a lot of investigation intl LCD's as I'm in the market for a 42"+ at the moment, you will find a number of manufacturers use the same panels,
Sony & Samsung, so you are probably getting the same unit, just reboxed.
best advice is to view all of them, at 20" resolution will probably be the same, so it will be down to other features like:
connections (for xbox etc...)
Freeview ?
cosmetic appearance.
wall mountable ?
You will probably find loads of info on the avforums (depends how much time you have to search the massive threads).
Hope that helps

Ian, problem is when I go and view them in the shop and the pic is crap on a model the salesman says its the signal. So I'm none the wiser. You must have the 20WLT, which looks good but its more square than widescreen style but is keenly priced at £299.
Thanks Dave, the Panny looked good to me aswell, the picture was better than the more expensive Sony next to it. Again I didn't know whether that was just the signal/set up fault though.
Any more opinions welcomed

I have a SONY albeit its a bigger screen but the picture is superb and to be fair i think any LCD will give a top notch picture providing you have good reception i personally find freeveiw to give the best picture even better than Sky

When I was looking, it was the only sensible 20" widescreen with freeview from anyone other than a dog poo manufacturer. It also won the gadget show for best 20" telly IIRC.
You definitely want freeview IMO nowadays as the analogue signal will be turned off well within the life of the TV.
I hate sony personally - they treat european consumers with contempt -
just thought I'd get that in ;-)

Thanks.I don't think the Panny has freeview. I have a split signal coming from NTL cable in another room that is wired into a coaxial socket in the wall just below where I intend to mount the tv. I thought I'd get one of those majic eye things so I can watch any of my cable channels in the kitchen.

The toshiba I have is a 20WLT56, they are about £350 now (I paid £420 about 6 months ago). Picture quality is as good as the signal being fed, Sony's IMHO are overpriced, Panasonic a Vgood, Samsung also (Sony use their panels), Sharp have a very good name in this size (up to about 42").
I it were me i'd be looking at Tosh', Sharp, Panasonic, & Samsung, in that order.
Go into an unbiased AV shop (Richer sounds is a good choice), and ask them, they will also price match web prices, I have no connection to them, just used them in the past and know a number of others who also rate them.

Thanks. Are Richer Sounds really unbiased? If I ask them for the 'best' 20inch for say £400 will they tell me or just push the one they have in stock with the biggest margin?
