Default Any Tips To Offer?

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE

Trying to get the gearbox back onto the Micra ..... spent 2 hours and got NOWHERE!!

Does the input shaft engage before the dowels? Do the dowels engage first? Any easy tips?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I have come this far without 'pro' help

I am good, damned good ..... at EVERYTHING Just I'm a bit stumped at the moment

Time for a trip to Halfords to thumb through the appropriate Haynes manual?

Just out of interest, why did you take it out in the first place? Scuse me if I've missed a previous post explaining!

oh dear its a micra ,yes input shaft engages before dowels, just carnt see why your having trouble, wot are you betting stuck with

Another wind up falling apart.......

1) your the supposed engineer....... retired but dosent seem to know ( still at school)

2) you supposedly took it out ( you didnt did you!!!)

3) you bought a pup in the process

4) funny how the g/box repair costs havnt been mentioned???


keep em coming walter, ive got a free weekend and a whole bottle of bacardi

Try aligning the clutch plate properly rather than using the end of your walking stick, also try turning the input shaft or engine over a few degrees incase it's marginally out.

Have I missed the thread with the detailed description of the gearbox rebuilding or reconditioning?
Is the gearbox now "as new" with all worn components replaced?
All tolerances now as spec?
Or just new syncros slung in?
We need pictures.
