Richard Hammond's health
I know it stating the obvious after having such a horrific accident but I'm shocked at how much Richard Hammond's appearance has changed.
I think he should have shown more time off to fully recover before throwing himself back into work. I'm not sure about the backslapping stiff upper lip approach put forward by Clarkson and Co at Top Gear.

We noticed last week. The video footage of him pre-crash shows he's lost a fair bit of weight.
Like anyone who's had a hefty operation or injury, the shock to their body can cause weight to drop off quite alarmingly even when tehy are eating relatively normally. Seen it myself on many an occasion.
Give him time, it's only been 4months.

Sometimes getting out and about is the best road to recovery, rather than vegetating in a bed all day watching daytime TV (which would rot the brain further ).

He still looks pretty fit and normal. I lost 4.5 stones after my recent problem but as soon as the treatment was finished I put some back on and look fit again, or so I am told.

He has aged about 5 to 10 years. He was fresh faced before the crash but now he looks exhausted with bags under his eyes.
A crash like that would probably age most people.
Given the type of guy he is I'd say he didnt want to take anymore time off work.

I also commented how different he looks, he looks exhausted, hopefully after a few more months he's start looking a lot better again, he has done well in such a short space of time and he's not lost his sense of humour

My GF and I talked about this yesterday. Hadn't really noticed the weight so much but he does look exhausted. I also think he comes aross a little bit subdued as apposed to how he was before.
He does look very tired. I'm sure after the current series has ended he'll come forward and admit he came back a little early.

After certain operations or illnesses you are advised not to drive for a period of time until you are properly recovered. I had to wait for a month after my bypass op and also the last one I had as well which cut into the stomach muscles..
