I'd be careful they aren't pulling customers in just before they start charging for current accounts.
I'm with Halifax and don't like them at all. Just lack of interest keeps me with them.

I've been with the Halifax since I was 16, and have had no problems with them at all. I got a letter weeks ago about the new high interest current account, and signed up straight away.

Call me cynical, but it's not exactly wonderful. As far as i understand it, you have to get all your bill payments transferred too. Which means your average monthly balance is likely to be nothing like £2,500. Even if it was, this is only worth just over £150 a year, and probably way less than that in practice for the majority of people. Ok if you're fed up with your bank, too much hassle in my opinion if you're not.
