Shell stations are a bit like water fountains....never pass one without using it as you don't know when you'll see the next (Unless you live next to one)

The other thing I have noticed recently is that my local Shell is closes when the tanker is filling up the tanks!

Anyone else had this problem?

Not at my local Shell - tankers use an area away fromn the pumps, but I have seen this happen at the Esso on my commute - usually at night though.

Yep had the same problem on the Wirral with the Shell garage at Neston. It seems to be closed more than it's open. The Shell at Gayton seems to be much more reliable for being open.

A lot of Shell stations are in fact francises... They are bound by certain conditions, but apart from that they are to a certain extent independent from one another....

I thought this would be very scooby related as most seem to run on Shell.
