Default Carpet stain removal - help!

Our lower hall carpet is really knackered now - even though it's only 18 months old. We didn't get it scotchguarded (doh!) and our kind dog over the past 12 months has been sick on it a number of times and we couldn't get the stains out. He was sick again yesterday and we've now got 2 more horrific spots. Each time we used Vanish carpet stain remover but it didn't really help.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what product might work - or if it's worth getting a professional outfit in?

Cheers
Richard.

Drop the iron on it and claim off your house insurance

I have used these people for general carpet cleaning - very good.

Chemdry - Professional carpet cleaning to remove stubborn stains and ingrained dirt

We could claim just on the stains but the increase in our premium is painful.

i used to get my living room, hall, stairs and landing done by a proffesional for 100 quid so i would imagine just having your s done wouldn't cost that.

Surely £100 is more than the increase in your home insurance or do you live in Buck palace?

Yes, it's more than the increase in my insurance premium for this year - but not for next year or the year after added up. It takes a while to build up a NCD.

I've got Chemdry coming at the end of next week - going to cost £45 all in to have the bottom carpet cleaned.

Try to get your dog to puke in a uniformed pattern across the carpet, people may not notice the stains as much.......

Find out what's wrong with the dog? If he was mine, I'd be worried if he's being sick that often.

He's only been sick a few times over the past 18 months but for the last couple weeks he's had pancreatitis (in hospital for 5 days with it but now home). He's on the mend but it was touch and go for a while there.
