Question Sim Card Registration Failed?

Found an old mobile in a drawer (Nokia 3310) which I thought I could use as a spare. Hadn't used it for some time but it had some credit on Pay As You Go and a decent battery.

But when I turned it on it showed message as per title. What's that all about please? And anyone got a Landline Number for Vodafone? dl

Was the PAYG the one where you have to make or receive a call every ?3 months and you haven't used it for over a year?

Yes - I used it to keep in a car the kids drive so that they can use it for emergencies - rape, car-jacks, bombs - you know the sort of everyday things in life these days

Just spent a pleasant 40 mins on the phone with Vodafone and they cut me off for non-use and recycled the number!!

So they sold me a new Sim for £2 which I get back in call credit.

So you just need an emergency every couple of months and everything will be fine
