Question Whats freezes quicest. Concentrate Antifreeze or diluted antifreeze ?

As the post says which and who knows why ?

The answer is concentrate antifreeze, but why ?

Diluted antifreeze will freeze quickest.

Antifreeze has a lower freezing point than water, say -25 C (just a guess), water has a freezing point of 0 C. So if you mix the two, the freezing point will be a higher temperature than the 100% Antifreeze.

I bet it's got something to do with the way water dissociates into ions of hydrogen and hydroxyl, and how they interact with the ethylene glycol in the antifreeze...

No it won't, it'll be lower because of what I said above.
