I don't have any pictures but I made a very nice, but slightly wonky fire surround with mdf and no-nails glue.
I also put a mirror up on my bedroom wall, I used the hammer drill to make a huge hole, stuck a nail in and plastered it up with no-nails.

I don't have DIY disasters, I'm an engineer FFS. I do things that never come down again!!
1 of the ex's on the other hand, was DIY inept. I spent a weekend at her place putting in new wall lamps, chasing the wiring in, plastering and painting, whilst she went home to her parents.
I go away for a weekend and get back to be asked how much I love her. Turns out she'd decided a picture would look nice in the space between them. Ok nowt wrong there, except I'd told her where all the cables were, so she could avoid them (forward thinging knowing she'd put a pic up). Anyhow she'd decided as it was only light 1 picture hook was all that was required and putting int he rawl plug, managed to drill through the live wire!
Bang went my next weekend repairing the cable run.

No pics, but I managed to nail myself to a rafter with an industrial nail gun once. You know it doesn't hurt when you fire a nail gun through the soft bit of your hand (until someone comes home and provides you with the necessary tools to pull the nail out)
p.s. - Moses - is you keyboard broked? there seems to be punctuation in your post

This was my attempt at DIY cooking a good few years back. I stick to toast and the occasional egg now and had a new kitchen professionally fitted.

i have seen a fair few disasters as i am a construction manager for a large building contractor.
one of the best below (no pics though)
on the day of inspection of the recently completed student blocks at a certain university in bristol. there was an access hatch pinched in the main staircase of one of the main staircases.
so our inempt drylining contractor replaces it for us, in doing so manages to screw through the main lighting cable and electrifying all the staircase handrail as it was linked to the studwork that the stair handrail was attached too.
just as well it was discovered quickly by someone who had their hand on it at the time, lol.
dave
p.s. - i am not going to say what company i work for or where it was as knowing my luck it would come back to bite me.
