Default Holiday in the sun, next week, where to?

Need a break so going to go away next week for 7 days. Where do people recommend? Have looked at Goa but not sure why but don't fancy it. What is the Dominican Republic like these days? Where else would people recommend?

cheers

Ok, how about Hawaii?

Temp over 80F at the moment, lots to do there, and with the dollar being so weak, its never been cheaper! You can fly with United from Heathrow to Honolulu for less than £450 return.

Thats a great idea it is just the long flight that puts me off seeing I can only do a week. I was thinking 10/11 hours max.

Well Hawaii is 18hrs. Having said that Goa is 13 and the flights to the Caribbean will be mega pricey now, because of the cricket world cup!

If I was you, and I appreciate I'm not, I'd be luauing on a beach!

Maldives, 10 hrs to Male from Gatwick.
You wouldn't want more than a week as most Islands are quite small.
I stayed at "Sun Island Resort" which was the biggest.

The place is already Crawling with Irish,
Coach loads of them turning up tonight.

If you aint booked a place in Cheltenham by now you'll be lucky to find anywhere to stay... unless you know someone local.

Have you considered South Africa - a 12 hour stint but same time zone - warmth and no jet lag.

Thanks for comments, have check most of the places suggested but nothing is quite right at the moment due to price or flight times etc.

Have been offered Antiga all inclusive flying with virgin for 2300 which is very tempting
