i'm off to the usa in 2 weeks time, i'll need to be able to charge my PSP, ipod, camera and another generic mp3 player...........normally they all charge up from the mains.........ooh and my missus hair straightner.....whats my best bet in terms of adaptors...can i just buy any old thing ?

I'd buy just the one adapter, and take a generic uk 6-way multipoint power strip. Plug the adapter into the wall, and just hang your chargers off the 6-way.

As long as your power supplies or chargers are auto-sensing for the voltage drop in the US (110V) - most newer ones are, check the print on the adapter, then just use them as normal.
