Got a Creative MP3 player and the standard headphones don't fit my ears too well. They're a little on the large side. The wife has the same problem. So I'm looking for a set that are a) a little smaller, or maybe have several different sized 'buds' and b) don't cost the earth. Not after top-of-the range just ones that fit!
Thought I'd ask her as I doubt that shops have aselection you can try for 'size' ....
Thanks in advance.
Dave
PS: yep, I've done search ...

Another vote for the Sony
Got a pair over the Shure NC range (?) - a fraction of the cost (bearing in mind it IS being used in an MP3 player - not exactly high quality in the first place
)
The Sony's were a VERY close 2nd - but won me over due their cheap price
Highly recommended![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

The Sony earbuds are very good for the money. Good low frequency response without being too boomy. High frequency response is average, but for the money I will not complain.
I also find they tend to pop out when eating.

I have the Sennheiser CX300 ones that go in your ears. They're great -- even cancel out most of the noise on the Tube. Paid £40 for mine from Selfridges, but subsequently discovered that Amazon do them for £18.99 or as low as £13 on ebay.

id be wary of buying the cx300 off ebay tons of fakes floating around, id buy them from a reputable website
I did have the sony's but now have ultimate ears super fi 5 pro earbuds which are stunning and should be for what they cost but the cx300's are meant to be top notch price wise

Brilliant phones i normally hate in ear phones but these are the most comfortable by a country mile.

Brought the Sennheiser MX 55 VC from Amazon- £17.50 for my partner to replace his nano earphones. He goes jogging quite a bit and finds these a much better fit (they come with different size inserts) and the quality is superior to his old headphones.

when i got my current mobly fone about 11 months ago (sony ericsson w810) it came with some really good in ear phones, with the flappy rubber piece that is uber comfy right in your ear. the sound quality is excellent and they dont hurt even after hours of use.
for my djing i use something a little louder and bigger, pioneer hdj-1000 headphones. for the size and weight, theyre bloody comfy too, although after a heavy mixing sesh, your ears may be a little sweaty. im the opposite of you, my ears are tiny and i dont have proper ear lobes that tuck up, they sort of go down and connect straight to my head without a curve if you get me.

Well I bought the Sony EX71s from Play.com for about £20 becuase a lot of people on here thought they were good. To my ears they are far too bright and I don't use them much. They have adjustable buds to go with different sized ears, but I don't find them comfy - they make my ears itch.
I now just use some cheapish Sony ones which I find comfy and sound Ok

Dave,
I'd be interested to know what you think when you get them. I was most disappointed with the MX300 that I bought (I know they were cheap but they were much worse equivalent Sonys IMHO).
Good price at Amazon - they are £40 at Richer

I can live with the standard ones for a bit longer yet.
Oh, the Cx300's don't have anywhere near as much bass.

I've been using the Sony MX71 buds again this week and fiddling with the equaliser in I-Tunes. With a lot of messing I can get a good sound for one sort of music (e.g electronic) and then another comes on (e.g rock) and it sounds crap. Total bass distortion. I'm wondering if it is the computer, but they didn't sound too good on the home hi-fi either.
I'm not convinced about the buds - and they're difficult to test in the shops for hygene purposes.
I'll stick with the cheap Sonys

They arrived and according to all the measurements I could find they are genuine - came from Amazon rather than the marketplace as well. But I don't find that they're as good as the Creative ones, even the missus thinks that. However, they do fit her ears much better than the Creative ones so she's happy.

I was amazed that headphones could sound so good when I bought my cx300's. Completely changed my whole personal stereo experience, the old style headphones never fitted in my ears.
