More massaging of data, or dealing with the problem??
Reid in knife crime data move - news.uk.msn.com
i thought with there new high tech databases they had allready it should be easy to work out that knife is nothing like burglary, or speeding...
or are they going to loose the data to make figures look good...

The point is, this could easily (and may well be) jumped on by the police, and then the public, to say "oh no, more time filling in forms".
From what I've seen, the UK keeps some of the most detailed crime stats in Europe. Here's yet another box to tick on the form.
