Surely I can't be the only person here who has 1-2 bar signal strength in one place in their home and no where else?! ![Mad](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Has anyone got a wireless signal booster and got it working? ie; you could then have 1-2 bars of signal all over your home.

I had that problem, had to change suppilers in the end. Didn't know you could get boosters for mobile reception though!

You can get the "stick on" boosters that are basically useless. The only way to really boost you signal is with an external aerial, connected to the coaxial connector on your phone (if you have one).
You can make a home made one, but its not very practical - It will involve a metal tin, a length of wire coathanger (cut to 4.25cm) and a length of co-axial cable.

I've got exactly the same problem so have been looking into doing the same thing. The Boater's Phone Company have lots of useful info and they don't just do it for boats!

I'm not saying this is the one to get
Wireless Extender Home/Office Unit
but there must be a solution out there other than coat hangers

The antenna is the coathanger, the co-ax cable is the same, and the base unit is the biscuit tin.
It will work, but it looks quite expensive as a soulution - Probably changin service providers is the best bet.

Yup, I suppose that why it costs the money. Sounds like from the description that you have to be in the same room to get the benefit as the base unit. If you change providers, you may find that you get better reception all over the house.
