Cool

Bought a QED Scart lead today for my DVD as the one in the box was awful. I cannot believe the difference! The picture is much much better.

Best £40 I have spent for a long time.

You may find your original lead only carried a composite signal, whereas the new one is RGB

I have to agree with Doc - I had a cheapo one from Richersounds which was fine for the video, so I tried it on the DVD. Not good, despite being all pins connected and having the DVD player set to "RGB out".

Replaced it with a QED "Squart". Brilliant, gobsmacking, definitely an essential upgrade!

Ah, I posted something similar the other week and couldn't believe there was very little difference .
Maybe I am blind or something but I had to swap leads many time before really working out what had changed

Yes, I did finally work out which scart socket took RGB into the telly and which scart took RGB out the DVD and how to configure the DVD to output RGB

Still not sure to be honest, it is a very pretty cable though!

Also found out that NTL digitals box will output RGB and there is an option in the menus. Only one RGB into the telly though

The Sky+ receivers have optical audio outputs for perfect sound quality too
