car log book question?

just wondered if the name on the log book was the owners name or just the vehicle keeper as it says on the log book.as in this scenario if i had a car and said to my son you can use the car it will still be mine but i want your name on the log book so if you get a speeding ticket etc he would have to deal with it.

best thing is to put him on the logbook, or just keep you on it, when he takes out insurance they ask are you the registered keeper he could say no its my mums/dads car etc, depends on how you want to play it

Yes, the registered keeper can be different from the owner.
At work we have som lease vans - we have the V5's for them showing the company name, but we don't own them.
