Samsung LE32R73BD is quite good (only 32") - go for a Plasma and at least 42"
Your best bet is the AVforums (beware, as they *can* be more brutal than this place )

Got my Samsung 42" for £758 so no grumbles here , picture quality is superb and I spent ages test viewing and thought this was amongst the best. Many of the plasma I saw didnlt look great although a couple of Pioneer and LG plasmas looked very impressive

AVForums like the Tosh 37wlt68, just bought mine from John Lewis for £829.99 on a price match, they sell it for £1099. The bonus of the price match at JL is they give a 5yr guarantee with every TV sold !
Whatever you go for get JL to pricematch and get the warranty, contact the store nearest you via email or call and ask for the Undersales dept.
