Well now I'm really chuffed
We've got a Canon i250 printer, which has recently refused to print, displaying ther message "used ink tank full".
I contacted Canon, having found nothing in the instructions, either online or on the computer, and they were distinctly un-helpful
Their service centre wanted me to SEND them the printer
Being as it only cost £49 all in, I took it to bits, cleaned out the bits I could see, and re-built it............took me a good hour as there were tiny parts and two fiddly springs, but hey..........IT WORKS!

What are you doing with the bowl of screws, nuts and washers that came out, but didn't go back? 
I always put them in a safe, secure place in the shed... so I can forget where I put them 3 days later.
