an increase in 3db makes it twice as loud, another 3db makes it twice as loud as that, etc although i think the ears notice 10db as a double in volume. so the new siren would appear to be nearly twice as loud as the standard one. hope that makes sense. stu

A break in artist may decide to sue for damge to his hearing if that goes off, you might have to place warning signs around your house
