Can I buy a surround sound system that can produce the same sound, speech, out of each speaker instead of individual sounds to produce the 'surround effect' ?

Basically I'm looking to simply reproduce the sound from the tv speakers in 4 or 5 places within a room. The system is for my parents who aren't interested in the home cinema experience but just want to hear the tv a little easier from where they're sitting instead of blasting the sound from the tv into each corner of the room. They've got a 5.1 system at present with the speakers dotted around the room but as expected speech only comes out of 2 of these speakers.

Any decent AV amp will have various settings. One will be 6-channel stereo whereby the sound is spread equally around 6 speakers. For example the Denon 2806.

Check the manual of the amp they have.

the cheapest way is to just join speaker cables for your left side together, and the same for the right side and then connect them to the equipment that they already have.

btw it wont be surround, it will just be stereo

get any decent av amp and it will do that. I have a 7.1 surround, but not much uses 7.1. Can have it set to rediculous amount of settings but for music 7-stereo gets all spekaers working the same
