Mobile upgrade time ..... Which phone ?
#1
![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My upgrade time is soon, What phone would you reccomend.
A few wants from the phone
1. Must have a memory card
2. must be able to use MP3's as ring tones
3. Preferably Nokia
Last time I upgraded, I was told by Vodafone that my upgrade had all the above ..... It turned up and it didn't, it got sent straight back and a replacement with what I wanted received.
I just didn't want to go through it all again, + I wanted some input on 'up to date' phones

try the new nokia N95 as all you want plus a 5mp camera
and takes up to 2gig memory cards also as built in sat-nav to boot.
hope this helps with your choice ?

If you go for the N95 and want to use the satnav make sure you download all the maps via your pc/mac first. Otherwise it downloads on the fly and you pay for it via the data tariff.
Otherwise N95 is a cracking phone.

My bro has the older Nokia N80 and he had a problem with it being slow (mainly hanging when sending txt's) there was a fix/download from the nokia web site to fix this problem and in my bro's case it worked.

I was looking at the N95 and W850i....
IN the process, I also looked at the 880i..... great phone, really stylish and thin. HORRENDOUS keyboard
No feel to them at all, and I suspect that if you're a "power-texter", you'll end up with blisters on your texting digits....
I've currently got an N70, and the slow menu issue was a concern for me when I looking for a new one (eligible for upgrade next week), therefore was looking away from Nokia, and back to Sony Ericsson...
That said, the patch for the N70 does make it much better (as per the N80),
However, after playing with an N95 at the weekend...... will have to see what Vodafone can offer me![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

w850i, changed to that from a nokia n73, nokia have lost the plot with the last few generations of phone. They need to sort out the software as the phones become slow, unresponsive and very buggy, its a shame as they seem to get the styling and feel just right. Also they arent good at holding onto a signal in weak areas, whereas my w850i holds on and can have a decent conversation as well.
With the w850i the menus are similar in style to the nokias anyway

i wouldnt bother with the n95 simply because it has a load of features you will prob never use!!!!! also more expensive to upgrade and prob more likely to go wrong!
i would get the 6300, i have and its a great phone and it was free!

i went to carphone warehouse yesterday and had a look at the n95 and sorry to say it looks cheap and poorly built but thats just what i thought and if ypou dont download all the roads to start with any you may need after you have to pay for via gprs from your service provider personnally i would go for the o2 orbit as they are rare with a bigger screen no extra or hidden costs and the gps is much better but if you just want a good camera then get the n95 hope i was some help
