Sold an item on eBay (old PC monitor that doesn't work) Clearly states in auction that I will not post.
Midway through auction someone asks if I will post it. I reply where to ? He replies and I ignore the email. (couln't reply anyway as I was out of country)
Anyway he is winning bidder, I email him to arrange collection, he puts :
"Hi.
I asked before(16/04) end of auction and you replied "Where do you want it posting to ?"
I understood it means you can post it.
I live in **** and I couldn't pick it up.
Could you please post it to me.
thanks"
So I'm pi55ed off and have drafted this reply up, just wanted to know what you think :
"You have understood and presumed wrong, my lack of response meant I wasn't interested in posting you the item. If I was prepared to post it to you I would have looked into it and let you know postage costs.
You have two choices, come and collect it or I will report you to ebay..."
Who will eBay side with on this do you think

The fact that you replied with "where too?" implicates that you may post. Anyone who was 100% certain that they would not post, would simply of said "no".
Ebay, will probs not be too arsed as it seems a mix up in communication between you both.

He was silly for not waiting for the reply but you're also in the wrong by asing where to.
In my eyes, you can't send that drafted email. I think this situation is as much your fault as it is his.
If you are able to package it sensibly and send it out then do so and charge him a fair price. Otherwise just agree to not finish the sale and make a second chance offer to the next bidder.

I am about to auction off a multigym thing that I dont use anymore... Due to the weight of the product I will be putting a P&P price of £1,000,000.01 on it (or buyer collects)...
