£1:02 per litre at Rockingham - OK you often pay a bit more for the use of petrol stations at race tracks, but yesterday, at a small petrol station near Olympia - £1:18 per litre for ordinary unleaded! Protests again anyone?

I know in the past that you get some petrol suppliers holding small petrol station owners (tenants) to ransom. Due to the remote location (or whatever excuse they come up with), some petrol stations get charged a premium or have some other franchise dispute. As a result, the tenant either puts their prices up incredibly high to cover the extra cost or as a protest to the supplier.
Maybe this is not the case anymore or perhaps the tenant is milking it from disputes which have now been resolved.

Its always the same in the summer, it aint just down to what's happening in Iraq etc. Alway from April onwards petrol starts to creep up.. christ knows what it'll be come July/August. Basically boils down to bloody yanks all getting their campers, SUV's and hummers etc out for the summer and cruising all over the shop increasing demand.

No. Pipelines 'updates' are getting embarrasing now. Good intentions but it doesn't look like its ever going to happen.
I once saw 104.9 in Kidlington of all places many moons ago - had to stick Ultimate in today due to Optimax shortage...100.9! Put in a £5 - last time I did that was in 92
