Unhappy Question for you Hi-Fi Buffs!!!!!!!!!!!

Lately my CD's on my Hi-Fi have not sounded so great so this morning I did a sound test as the neighbour's are away The problem I have is that it seemed on of my Mission speakers sounded poorly so having 2 Cd players I changed the CD from one player to another and if I'm being honest It sounded worse, So I put a MD in the player and booted it up, going from LtoR and it sounded like it should, Now my question is is it the CD players that have had it, or my cables from my amp to the 2 CD units are crap help please guys it's driving me mad.
My set Up Consists Of

Technics Su-V560 Amp
Pioneer PDR 555RW
Sony MDS JE 500 Mini Disc Player
Sony CDP XE220 Compact Disc Player
Mission 773 Speakers

Any Help Advice greatly Aprrciated!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Colin

Are you using the same interconnect when you switch cd players?

And is it a different interconnect from that to/from the MD player?

I'll try to be helpful, unlike some of the previous posts

If the MD is okay perhaps the CD input on the amp is dodgy, try plugging the MD into the CD socket, see if it sounds bad, or the CD into the MD socket and see if it's better.

Then you can have the courtesy to respond to my questions if it doesn't improve.

Could be a long shot but I had problems with my Missions and it turned out that the metal clips that link the two bi-wire terminals together had come loose so it was vibratig and cutting out the tweeter.

If it is your amp, how much will you give me for a 1990 Mission Cyrus 1 I have for sale?

The Technics SU series of amps can suffer from corroding/dirty contacts on the phono sockets (especially the early/mid 90's units)....The price you pay for expensive gold interconnects and nickel plated contacts (battery effect)
