Traffic Taliban & Severed Head PR Stunt

Traffic Taliban & Severed Head PR Stunt
Incredibly the Mad Mullah of the Traffic Taliban [aka Richard Brunstrom, Chief Con, N Wales Police] has been capitalising on a dead biker's remains for PR reasons - without the permission of his family. [no pics in linc thankfully]
icWales - Police chief criticised over shock images
His PR 'ker-ching' moment must have started whan this guy had a crash [hurting no one but himself as far as I can tell] and, err, severed his head off. BUT the PR piece de resitance and call to action was that gratifyingly he had 'Pi$$ off and go catch some real criminals' written on his T Shirt. Cue calling a press conference...
A beyond sick, sad, misguided and despicable act. It truly shows the gulf between the way normal people think, and their values, and the lengths that power crazed public servants will go to to try and justify their extreme and increasingly discredited views on traffic policing. We seem to be just meat and wallets on wheels to them that so know best...

Yours is well hidden from you. Do you realise that you might get a bit more cred if you didn't try to pin everything on new labia?

I think most people (especially motor cyclists) are well aware of what can happen. This kind of campaign just sinks to new depths. To use the images at all is pretty low, to do so without permission is appalling.
A very close friend of mine lost her then partner in these circumstances about 7 or 8 years ago. The fact that she was following behind him on another bike and saw the accident and literally had to put his head back on his shoulders is something that I cannot even begin to imagine. I'm sure she and many other people will be thanking Mr Brunstrom for bringing back these images for them.
That man is a prat of the highest order. Quite why he is in a position of authority and responsibility has always been beyond me. He should be able to make a judgement call and recognise the impact of his actions on other people - something he has failed to do. Hopefully this might be one step to removing him.

I don't agree with a lot of things UB says, but NL has created the interfering, nannying culture that's made this sort of behaviour acceptable 'for health and safety reasons'.

This Brunstrom is a fecking disgrace of the first order.
I cannot believe how low the man will sink just to get a reaction, what the family must think about this is beyond comprehension.
Ok the guy was probably riding like a t1t, but come on going into gory details about his death and showing the pictures is terrible.
Brunstrom in my opinion is a downright nutball and needs to be removed from offfice asap

What a tragic anecdote. Makes the point well though.

The man is a control freak of the first water as well as being totally insensitive. People like that are usually trying to make a name for themselves at everyone else's expense.
He is said today to be considering using those new cameras in cat's eyes in order to catch even more motorists.
He is also the man who was seen to have blocked off the pavemnt by his house with his trailer in order to unload it into his garden thus forcing pedestrians to have to walk around it on the main road!

I'm still as shocked about this today. It is almost as desparate in its lack of wisdom or plain common sense as it is in a search for personal vindication. The self justifying parading of the victim to emphasise their conclusiuon of 'wear a cheeky T Shirt - get yer head chopped off' is the same as showing a pic of Hamed's McLaren and concluding that the car is to blame [as they are starting to].
Why do those that should 'know best' seem to have lost the plot and all grasp of common sense and the fact that there will always be accidents - and that the vast majority are at LEGAL speeds.
Maybe the mullahs could focus some attention on the 'razor wire' crash barriers used instead of armco at the side of roads. It may be more cost effective for councils, but it turns bikers into chips... Or how about insisting manholes should be designed to have more grip than black ice when wet? Lunatic hypocrisy all round, based mostly on ego and commercial factors not thge mantra of 'lives'.

He's a cvnt, no question.
I'm not personally bothered by the sight of a severed head or mutilated body (dunno why, I'm just not) but lots of folks are and this sort of thing shouldn't just be forced on them!
Also, pretty tasteless to do it without the permission of the blokes family IMO.

The pillock had the audacity to blame the journalists who highlighted his tasteless use of these images for causing distress to the families in his own Blog....

He has an email response.
I'm going to write and complain about him using the photos without the family permission, it's not right, even in an 'enclosed' meeting.
I'm going to suggest he does the right thing and stands down immediately.
I will also encourage all my friends to do likewise.
Any takers?

This is truly digusting, but then the man will stop at nothing to get his point across as he is a true obsessive. The real probelm is why someone on such a one track narrow minded crusade is allowed to keep the position he has.
It's rare I agree with Unclebuck on here, but this can only be laid squarely at the door of the governent and the nanny state they seem happy to perpetuate. Any sane government would have persauded him to quietly step down, but by leaving him in the position he has it only goes to reinforce to Brunstrom that he must be right behaving the way he does.
We should be writing to our MPs about him and actually I think I will do just that as it truly disgusts me the depths this lowlife will sink to.

My feelings go out to the poor motorcylist family for not seeking permission to use the photos and Brunstone for using someone misery to further his campain.
What I'm not aware of is did the unfortunate motorcyclist die in a speed related accident or hit one of the new style wire crash barriers ?
Definatey think Brunstone should be made to publicy appoligise and resign.

The father said in the paper today that he and another male relative had to identify the body at the time and they had kept the details away from the rest of the family, for obvious reasons I would say. Now they all know the gory truth! My heart goes out to them but for the Mad Mullah I have nothing but contempt!

You are an absolute disgrace. The fact you are trying to shift the blame for your crassness does nothing apart from underlining how much of a disgrace you are.
Have the common decency to admit you are wrong.

Just watched the local news:
Aside: although I have it in for Brunstrom as much as much he does for the ordinary decent motorist, he does come across as quite likeable - he was on a local 'Desert Island Discs' show recently and I couldnt hate him despite myself.
D
PS Still no knock on my door Brunstrom is on hols it seems...
- Guy's father wants Brusntrom sacked
- Deceased was allegedly doing 100mph and had no insurance
- Father had told dead guy's Mum [3 yrs ago] her son died quickly on impact - now she knows differently
- Police initially trying to blame Press in the Press conference for leaking story [HOW HOW HOW naive? There specifically to report a story & snakes in a pit an' allthat...]
- Wolfendale the dep con is on TV squirming and apologising tonight
