Default New arm for Oakleys

Hello

I bought some Oakleys a fair few years agi and have snapped the arm on them. Does anyone know how I can tell which model I have and then where I can get a replacement arm ?

If you have a picture of them I'm sure someone can ID them. If you get in touch with Oakley direct, their customer service is usually superb.

Just try your nearest decent cycling shop, most of the bigger shops will know an Oakley sales rep and they should be able to sort you out matey.

Here's a pic....

Doesnt say anything on the inside of the frames. Arms just say "Made In USA, R (1)" and "Jacket, L (4) on them.

Agreed, Eye Jackets and they look like the 1994 model, as opposed to the newer 1999 model.

LOL, I know..quite sad eh.. but in my defence I've been wearing Oakley's for the better part of 20 years.. wouldn't trust my eyes to anything else, and I've found nothing else touches them with regards to lens quality. Matter of personal opinion though I guess.

I had a pair of eye jackets, an arm broke one day about 6 years after I'd bought them.

Phoned Oakley, they gave me an address to send them to with a cheque for £10 which put them under warranty for another year, they called me and said that the colour was no longer available, so i chose a new colour and they replaced the entire frames and polished the lenses up a treat for me :-)

THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE

What sort of warranty do you get with Oakleys then? I have some 'Square Wires' that are nearly seven years old and the best part of knackered!

Go to a decent opticians that sell Oakleys & they should have a return box - you just pop 'em in & post off to Oakley - the box is pre-addressed - dead simple, just fill in your contact details.

Generally they charge for lenses, but repair or replace the frames free of charge.

I just sent my X-Metals back to Oakley for repair as 2 of the screws that hold them together kept falling out. They were way out of warranty and I had no box or receipt, but they fixed them free of charge for me anyway.

I forget the address but I emailed them via their customer services page on the main Oakley website - and they sent me instructions for what to do.

Edit: Oh wait here's the email they sent me.

You need to send your glasses to the address below, with a cover letter explaining what has happened or what you would like us to do, when you got them, a return address and a daytime telephone number.

Your Oakley Eyewear is covered by a one year Warranty from the date of purchase.

Scratched lenses and accidental damage are not covered under the warranty.

We will quote for non-warranty repairs after inspection.

Lens replacement on all models other than M-Frame, Pro M-Frame, Half Jackets and Goggles must be carried out by Oakley. We do not send lenses out.. For the aforementioned items; replacement lenses are available from any Oakley stockist.

Charges will vary depending what the problem is and the age of the glasses.

Please allow 15 working days from when we receive your item before chasing a repair.

Broke an arm off my 6+ yr old Oakleys so got a pre-paid returns box from an Oakley outlet and posted them off.
Got an email from them saying if I took out an extended warranty (£14 I think) they would fix them.

What I received back was a brand new pair with my lenses fitted

Was worth even penny.
