Can't even go elsewhere because this is being done through the insurance and they only use RAC windscreens.![Mad](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)

Did mine ok, tidy job too (i.e no goo everywhere, like I've had previously).
However , I was rather miffed at the screen being permanentally branded in the corner with "RAC Windscreens". Which maybe fine on a shopping trolley, but I prefer not to have it on a more prestigous car

I have specified a dealer supplied screen now (after being recommended by the fitter that arrived today).
That means RAC will source one from Subaru rather than using their own.

Neither was I.
I never knew you could specify the original part.
It was only because the fitter said that he was surprised that I hadn't ordered a dealer part and told me to ask for one that I am getting one. They obviously try to keep it quiet so they sell their own screens.

Which insurance company do you use? You might want to try calling their complaints service.
I had a side window broken and had RAC Windscreens come out to it - my insurance company Admiral use them. First off they replaced it with a perspex window (it was the middle of the night) and the fitter did an excellent job.
They then came to replace it with a proper window and after doing that there was an air noise when you went over about 30mph. They came out to look at it, and said that there was damage to the seal, probably done when the glass was fitted, but it shouldn't make that much difference as the window was still sealed properly. After looking at it several times, they still couldn't sort it, and they claimed that the seal wasn't their responsibility.
Called Admiral complaints and they were really good, arranged for RAC to replace the glass and seal to sort it out. They did that, but still it wasn't brilliant.
Finally got it sorted when I took the car in for a service - told the dealer about it and asked if they'd have a look and they sorted it out - they said that they'd "done the job properly"
