This whole 'Ashes into Space thing'... aka "Scotty's ashes blasted into space"
Hmmm....
I heard about this last week and didn't really give it any thought, although I must admit that I just considered it a fitting way for 'Scotty' to mark his passing, you know that old "to boldly go" scenario...
Then today I'm reading through the BBC news website and there's an expanded article about the entire event..
It sounded VERY impressive! and all those fans.... then I read on....
Now Gene Roddenberry's ashes were actually ALL sent into space, and 'proper' space...... let me explain.... as Scotty's trip consisted of:
So that's REALLY impressive then, not...
in essence they fired a piece of Mr Scott into 'low earth orbit' and his remains were parachuted back to earth... not like Gene Roddenberry at all then.....
But think about it, a young wife, publicity, and the 'tightness of purse strings' that women display.... as its about £250 for the low orbit return and £6000 for the deep space 'see ya' never to return mission.....
And while I'm on one about this sad event, nobody EVER said "Beam me up Scotty" never, not once in the whole series....

I've snogged a Klingon 
Was invited to the opening of a Star Trek bar many years ago in Vine Street (Westminster) by a chippy i knew who had been working there. First Klingon with Blonde hair i'd seen. I was all over her/it

Ewww, i managed to get rid of a couple of nasty ones this morning, took 6 sheets of tripple ply paper and some serious scrubbing action.

I'm surpised nobody has commented on how this has had an impact on the environment and climate change (blasting dead people into the air, mind you, not the Dalek's quest for global domination).
