Question How Do I Copy VHS to DVD ?

I want to do away with my Video recorder but I have several videos I want to keep, (21st birthday, me on Match of The Day(!) etc)

Can you do this in high street shops ? Whatsthe easiest way without buying expensive software

As above, just connect the video to a dvd recorder via scart. Quality won't be great but it'll do the job.

You can buy a DVD recorder for under £60 now, probably cheaper than a high street camera/video shop would charge (if you can find someone doing it!)

and you'll have a DVD recorder to keep at the end too

The Disney videos used to mess up the contol/volume track on the VHS to stop copying.

Would that still be an issue transfering them to DVD on a home recorder? I doubt that the DVD would use that info to record anyway?

I would like to transfer all the Disney videos I have to DVD

most places I've seen charge about £20 per tape.
I do it occasionally using a Dazzle 16bit converter and PC, usually when work want some training vids converting. I charge £10 a time, or £15 for work!

Interesting to see on ebay - I put an add on ages ago and they took it off, saying you couldn't advertise services. Must have got a bit slack now, to maximise profit
