It seems for some reason that Shell are scrapping the Pluspoints loyalty program and replacing it with the Shell Drivers Club.
Haven't read all the info yet but it seems already accumulated pluspoints have to be redeemed by 23rd June or lose them as far as I can tell. Not seen anything yet that suggests you can transfer them over.
The V-Power club is going to continue to run apparently although the points/rewards are going to change. Not suprising as the new club earnings threshold is 200 litres compaired to the old pluspoints 400 and V-Power's 300.
It seems you earn 1 point for every litre you buy, and once you cross the threshold this is doubled to 2 points.
Dunno how this is going to affect my points I seem to have access to the V-Power club website etc, but have never been sent a card. To be honest with all the trouble I've had with the scheme, I can't be bothered with it.. especially if they end up binning all my current points...more trouble than its worth!

Unfortunately Tesco fuel is a non option for me as non of the stores within my area sell 99 RON. I'd prefer to use V-Power anyway so it was just a nice bonus as I was buying the stuff regularly to collect the points.

We put all our food shopping (from Tesco) on our Tesco credit card, we also put every other expense on the Tesco credit card.
We hardly buy anything that doesn't go on there, at the end of every month the balance is paid off completely.
We get a good set of vouchers every year

Probably wont use them anymore though if they don't do a similar scheme, ie money back vouchers.
In fact just read the site and V Power club is not changing so surely everyone here with a Scooby and that uses Shell is a member of that anyway just for using Optimax/V Power?

Bugger (if true) after picking up a few caps / bags etc., I decided to save for something bigger, I am close to getting enough for a rally day. Had an e-mail but it wasn't very clear about the demise of pluspoints. Will have a closer look tonight.

is this right, i have just had to re register my card on the website for the new system
its a bit confusing, i think the new system will not let you build up points and when you get enough for say 1 cap, they will send a cap, next time you get enough for 1 cap they send another ?![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
anyway, re registered, checked my points balance and it says zero
even though the letter i got this morning says i have 9252, assume this 48 hour thing will be them converting my points to the new system ?

Just ordered £190 of Comet vouchers with 28,500 points. Leaves me on 567 points.
The new website seems to be still under construction - I can't get to the page where I choose my reward.

I just got my Drivers club card in the post. It tells me my 3000 pluspoints will be transferred to drivers club as 4000 points. Doh as I just cashed them in for 200 air miles after reading this thread and thinking I was gonna lose them If I didnt use them.

I filled in the "Contact Us" form on the Drivers club website over a week ago. I wanted to know if I would get more for points by converting my existing ~11,000 points or by letting them be converted into 13,000 points.

I am still confused. Can I still accumulate points and then decide what to spend them on depending on how many I have got, or do I have to nominate a type of reward, e.g. shell voucher, that will automatically be despatched when I get enough points?
It is this possible lack of flexibility that made me spend my points now rather than wait for the new regime.
