Panorama - Scientology 8:30 tonight
This is supposed to kick off big time. The BBC reporter loses it completely. The scientologists employ PI's to folow and snoop on him. They try to intimidate him and bully him.
More great programming from the BBC

Didn't watch it, but was what the Scientologists did to the reporter any different from what the reporters usually do? i.e. follow them around when they don't want to be, dig up all their secrets and tell everyone etc.
Was it a case of the reporter finding out it's not nice to be treated how they treat people every day? If so, good!

It was entertaining and showed the cult up for what it is. However, it doesn't really concern me as the type of people that are attracted to this cult seem to be the type that Harry Enfield parodies in his, "I saw you coming" shop sketch.

I'm surprised Scientologists haven't been involved in some Waco-style shootout, they're absolutely f*cking fruit-loop. Mind you, with a drug-addled 3rd rate science fiction author as their 'messiah' is it any wonder ?

Just reading that as it is a "Pay as you go" religion, you have to give them £100K before you can find out about the "Incident" which i think is all the Thetan/Xenu stuff.
Some of the actresses on there were operating thetans level 8, **** knows how much you have to give to reach that level

I can't recall any other relegion where you have to pay join and to remain a worshiper.
The holocaust thing is interesting. Wasn't there something between Tom Cruise and Steven Speilberg within the last couple of years, when they had previously worked together on a few films, perhaps this is the real reason for a rift growing between them and TC?

Join my cult instead. I offer 3 promises, Sex, Money and two broken promises. PM for bank details.
Personally I think they're not too bad, it's the born again Christians we should worry about. Not only do they believe in some random book, they want the world as we know it to end and are quite willing to help it along. Rapture anyone?

The head of the Galactic
Confederation (76 planets around
larger stars visible from here)
(founded 95,000,000 yrs ago, very space opera)
solved overpopulation (250 billion
or so per planet) -- 178 billion
average) by mass implanting.
He caused people to be brought to
Teegeeack (Earth) and put an H Bomb
on the principal volcanoes (Incident 2)
and then the Pacific area ones
were taken in boxes to Hawaii
and the Atlantic Area ones to
Las Palmas and there "packaged."
His name was Xenu. He used
renegades. Various misleading
data by means of circuits etc.
were placed in the implants.
When through with his crime Loyal Officers
(to the people) captured him
after 6 years of battle
and put him in an electronic
mountain trap where he still
is. "They" are gone. The place (Confed.)
has since been a desert.
