Depends who you believe. One school of thought says that the Global Warming can have localised cooling effects. We are kept un-naturally warm by the North Atlantic Drift, if that stops, expect to have weather on par with Canada!

From the Met Office on 11th April for this summer (see Met Office: News release ):
"The forecast for rainfall is less certain, and currently there are no indications of an increased risk of a particularly dry or particularly wet summer".
Hmm. Then on 25th June ( see Met Office: News release ):
"As the tennis at Wimbledon gets under way, the summer so far has been notable for heavy rain and serious flooding – causing disruption for many. The worst affected areas have already seen over twice the monthly average rainfall for June.
Any play at Wimbledon today is likely to be interrupted by yet more rainfall with even a risk of a thundery downpour. The Met Office is saying that today will be the wettest day of the week. During the rest of the week it will stay mainly dry but further showers may interrupt play at times.
Following the recent heavy rain and flooding, Environment Agency spokesman Stuart Brennan, said: "The Met Office is forecasting some respite from the heavy rain which will help people in the worst affected areas recover from flooding disruption".
Although there will be a respite from the heaviest rainfall for the remainder of the week, the Met Office is saying there are early signs of some further rainfall for next weekend.
Despite the heavy rainfall Met Office figures released tomorrow are expected to show that average June temperatures so far are above normal"
So their forecasting is sh&te! But they're still on the Climate Change kick with the last line above. When did these *far above normal* temperatures happen? I do remember most of June ....

What really annoys me, are the double page spreads in tabloids that compare the weather this year, with the same day last year, (when the weather was different) and have a headline along the lines of "What is happening to our weather?"
WTF is that all about, the British weather is renowned for being very variable, yet all of a sudden this is proof of global warming!

Under the heading "A Toxic World", they had a half page pic of Drax Power Station, which is about 15 miles from where I live.
The caption read: "Drax Power Station in Yorkshire pumps out a cloud of fumes".
Except that what the photo ACTUALLY showed was the cooling towers at Drax, which don't "pump" anything out, and release only water vapour.

And also, Drax was the first Power station in the UK to use fluidised bed combution to produce cleaner combustion and to use flue gas desulphurisation to remove sulphur dioxide.
I e-mailed Drax and they were going to take it up with the Mirror

Wish the Greenies would make their fricking minds up..
The way I see it -
A) It gets hotter = Result! (the weather at the moment sucks)
B) It gets colder = Result! (We might get some decent snow back in the Alps!!)
I want climate change if its otherwise not going to change from this!
Can anyone remember what happend to the "Acid Rain" they kept going on about? Shouldn't all those buildings in Sheffield dissolved by now?

Edinburgh Evening News said yesterday that the average rainfall in Edinburgh in June was 51mm. This month it was 118mm ! I like mountainbiking - not playing in the mud !!

And global warming seemed to be going so well.

That WAS last week when parts of the area were flooded, though.
Mind: I was once on a campsite when 120mm of rain fell in HALF AN HOUR!

Campsite went from bone dry to under two feet of water in places! In the south of France it KNOWS how to rain.
