i think its a good idea, nowt worse than coming home smelling of someones tabs

I'm only a smoker when drinking in the pub

I think it is a disgrace on so many levels.

I'm a smoker and I think it's a good idea ... should be a bit weird not being able to smoke in my local when out for a pint this weekend ... but I'm sure I'll survive

As a non smoker, it was a breath of fresh air last night to have a beer in a smoke free zone at my local.

ok so the majority of you are happy because it restricts someone elses activities.

Now what will your view be when it moves on to drink and fast cars? Like this for example

BBC NEWS | World | Europe | Bid to ban fast cars from Europe

Where does it stop?

Not bothered about this proposal as I don't do that speed very often and, anyway, the 12secs or so it takes to get there would be fab

Its author, British Lib Dem MEP Chris Davies, says 101mph is 25% more than the top speed limit in most EU states.
Not in my country it isn't

He says cars have gradually increased in power and weight, which increases their CO2 emissions, even though people cannot legally use that extra power.
Again not in my country

and my yearly road tax of €147 is based on the emissions of my car
