We're planning to use DLR and go and watch at Greenwich on Sunday. Hopefully that way we won't get caught in all the road closures and traffic.
I've watched it on the telly for the last 20 or so years and thought that I'd go and watch as it was almost going past my front door.
Anybody else going? Any good tips

Would do if I was local. Have been to Paris on two occasions in '85 and '88 to watch the finish. It was fantastic to watch when Stephen Roche won in '87.
It's one hell of a spectacle, enjoy!!!

AVOID using the car at all costs. Work for the emergency services and can confirm that there's going to be serious road closures - Greenwich is car-free on the Sunday so DLR and a little walk through the tunnels probably the best option.

Yes, my father and I will be going. Both days, not too sure yet as to where to site ourselves.
Two years ago we spent two weeks in France following it around. Saw them all over the place including the Alps and the finish in Paris. What a show.
Looking forward to it

lol, don't know if london is before or after the route thru gravesend and medway towns, but i drove along a long stretch of the route today going to medway hospital and i won't mind betting a few people will end up in the same place!
although most of the route has been relaid (you can really tell with the REO70's
) there's a few dodgy potpoles and seeing as they take a racing line as opposed to just driving on left/right there could be a few spills![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
get a nasty feeling this could be the only time this is over here as most of the roads don't take too kindly to a car, let alone a bike doing 50!!

It starts in London then goes out to Dartford, Gravesend, Chatham, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and Canterbury.
I am contemplating watching it, but really want to go to Maidstone if I do. That way I can watch Le Tour then go to the Outlaws for lunch and watch the Grand Prix whilst my daughter is entertained by her nephews.
However not sure how to get there due to road closures and in any event last time I saw it in UK it was a bit of a non-event! Raced past in seconds!
