when we went to the dentist in baguley every six months or whatever it was and i had behaved we used to get a treat from the toyshop.
i always got plastic toy soldiers in a box, i can still remeber all the different poses they used to come in ..
eBay.co.uk: VINTAGE TOY PLASTIC SOLDIERS - Job Lot (16) (item 280129798716 end time 06-Jul-07 22:40:46 BST)

Toy cars, i have memories of using the old shoeboxes as garages.
I suggest it to my 8yr old a while back & he looked at me as if i was daft.

Big trak was the daddy, scalextic 'Le Mans' set was awesome, Star Wars toys including the AT-AT, Ewok Village etc were quality.

But you can't beat making a bow and arrow in the woods, then watching your mate get taken to the hospital at the end of the day when 'he'd lost the war'

Mmm .. I do have a scar (albeit a little one!) on my leg where I was shot with an air rifle playing something like that

tin can alley was great , i had one of those, if you set it up on a really bright day though the light sensor would pop all the cans of on their own.

" race n chase " was good but the cars would always skid off at their furthest point fromk you.
what was that poor mans scalectric called where you had two pieces of track and you used to attach it to a table and two cars would race down it and loop the loop ?

Toy soldiers for me too. I used to buy a box of them every month. Then I would spend hours and hours setting them up for battle. By the end of setting them up I couldnt bare to knock them down. My mum was always moaning about standing on those damned soldiers and tanks. They are still in her loft to this day

Happy memory that is

Never had scalextric as a kid

However, found over 60 lengths of assorted track on freecycle and plan to build the daddy of tracks up in the loft

Toy Soldiers were the biggest thing....
Like loads of people, used to spend house setting them up, all dotted around the bedroom, on bed, wardrobes etc and then had the ***** of all fights until only one lone sniper was left..and yes the dirty **** scum or slitty eyed yellow dirty low down japs always lost (as you could tell it was all very PC then )

Moved onto Action Man ...went mad with them, could spend days in the bedroom, must have been an absolute joy for my mum as she never saw me , except for meal times

Then discovered my ***** and shortly afterwards girls....rest is a dim memory now

I had a boxinf game with a red robot and a blue robot. You pressed a botton to make it punch. When you landed a perfect uppercut the other robot's head shot up and it screamed. Can't remember what it was called
