Basement conversions
Anyone had one done? Quite fancy somewhere to put a home cinema, a pantry and maybe an office.
Just wondering how much they cost

The going rate round here to tank and generally sort out rooms which are already there seems to be about £10k to £15k.

A lot will depend on what needs to be done to make it water tight, whether you want windows in and how easy it is to get power and heating down there.

Also, you need to see how far your buildings `footings` go, as most basements need extra digging to achieve a decent height.
Nothing is ever as easy as you think.
