Default Someone upset wife - Should I be thinking of revenge?

Not too sure about posting this, but its too late now. . .

Wife is not a big internet user buy occassionally does use a particular forum on a reguler basis. She sees it as a sort of communtiy where like minded people can share things - yes love, thats what forums are like!

Anyway, today she posted a thread which for un known reasons was deleted. So she asked on the forum what happened as she took it personally. That post was deleted too which really upset the missus so she posted a new thread asking why her threads were being deleted?

A snotty nosed pr!ck of a moderator accused her of "ranting" and told her to use the "contact us" button and locked her thread? She had not realised that feature was there so used it to ask the question to webmaster or whoever picks up the messages.

The result was 3 insulting emails which basically told her to **** off if she didn't like how the forum was being run and barred her from the site.

This has really upset my wife, and she still does not know what she did wrong.

Seeing my wife so upset has made me angry and my first thoughts would be to go and see him and teach him a few manners. But I don't know his address other than it being in Hertfordshire, his first name and his email addy (forum based).

Should I just leave it and let my wife find another hobby like sex chatrooms or should I pursue it?

Swamp his email with spam or overload his servers!

I thought I would let the Scoobynet jury decide the outcome

Bob

If me posting this is against scoobynet policy, delete it, ok?

Mods, edit this post if you think it appropriate.

To be honest, if that's the sort of people they are then their forum isn't worth it, tell her to find another forum along the same lines.

Then SPAM, SPAM, SPAM It'll make you feel better.

If I had a penny for every locked or deleted thread, insulting comment, or a toys out of pram incident, I'd have £8.53.

Grow up and get over yourself, FFS, talking of going round and giving him a dig...

well if she likes sex chatrooms i'll send her my email address

seriously though - how many posts has she made on the forum? if shes made a few and is a regular then i can't see why she'd been banned unless the mods are new and are trying to get rid of people so it's just a small click (as you get in the local pubs where they don't speak to outsiders)

Its my wife that is upset over this, if it was me I'd move on. But its the fact that they've sent her insulting emails and have really upset ther that annoys me.
Surely ANY man would not want to see his wife upset, even if it was a cowardly keyboard warrior / bully that did it!

I must admit, I would log on with her username the odd time and found it quite good and obtained some usefull info from there.

We don't have a caravan, we have tent, a rather big expensive one but still a tent. It gives us additional holidays where we can take the dogs with us. Nothing pikey about it, only ignorance by others.

Anyway, I'm having a drink and relaxing more now, but I still do not like the way this dick has bullied my wife through email. If I met him, I'd lay one on him without a second thought even though I'm not really a violent man.

Reading between the lines, I think your wife has been having an affair with a bearded, caravan owning, toyota driving, forum moderator, and she has binned him. He's not taken it too well by the looks of things, and is now persecuting her

So lets get this right, Bob. You log into a camp site as your missus. Do you sit at your desk in her panties too? Have you tried to ePork this 'Ratty' chap?

Somehow I think you are holding back with something and it might just be an attempt at coming out. Come on, you're amongst pals here (Just sit closer to Chips). We will listen.

How about waiting til things have calmed down, then a polite email to the webmaster stating that she did not mean to rant, and genuinely wanted to know why her post was deleted so that she didn't make the same mistake again.

Hopefully they will then realise that it is a misunderstanding and her account will be reactivated.

(this is Ms Gooner posting)........... I kinda had this with a couple of recent comments made on one of our threads....... the husband recently started a thread with regard to naming a dog - and posted a couple of pictures, namely of the dog, however, one of the pictures posted was of our older dog "Chunk" with me holding him, and some smart ***, wrote "which one's Chunk"? and then some other smart *** wrote something about dogs and their owners??? Now this - to me was quite upsetting and if any of you "wise ***'s" are reading THIS post - then maybe you'll know for next time.

Unfortunatly, my husband does look like the HULK as opposed to hulk hogan and he wasn't thrilled with the comments as like I say - I did take them personnally. However, after about 2 hours - I kinda calmed down and thus so did he. I can't say that I'm overly thrilled at those comments - but can see how some peoples shallow humour works. I didn't ose sleep over it though and feel that you should sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning.

I am rather curious though what was said
