Thing is, David. That car is so stable and capable, along with the fact it does those speeds so quickly it would be a walk in the park anytime of the day or night, I think.

I thought they'd forgotten to put a hole in the car for the seatbelt.

Is it capable of seeing the future then? The problem is stopping if something unexpected happens. I wonder what it's like hitting a dog at 200mph?

So do I.

I dunno, it sounds a bit killjoyish, but I really think you should be off public roads at that sort of speed.

No, it doesn't sound a bit 'killjoyish', it sounds a lot. In fact you sound worse than most Nans.

Fair play. Since we're being offensive now: fast driving on roads is for pillocks. Good drivers go to a track. Plenty of both on here.

Not sure how that at night you can see far enough ahead to be able to accurately be able to avoid some objects.

Quite so - which was behind my point above. Just need a poorly lit something or other in the fast lane and.......... Fun though

I am old enough to remember when some race company used the M1 for testing something really fast in the days before the 70 limit. Did it at dawn but it caused a hell of a fuss. Wish I could remember more.

I believe that was the AC Cobra and led to the imposition of the seventy mph limit.

Have you ever seen a dog on a German autobahn?

Thus speaks someone who has no experience whatsoever of autobahn driving. Never managed over 200mph myself but a 160mph sustained cruise was easy and safe. Just a shame I don't have access to a Veyron or I'd have a crack at over 200mph myself.

That is quite a car Now where was that post I saw on another forum from some twit saying that the Veyron was over rated and suffered from turbo lag?
