It sounds as though you want a fixed rate? If not, then I can thoroughly recommend ING (ING DIRECT - Save Your Money!.

I know its boring compared to other threads but thought it may be useful for some ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
After a couple of days searching I ended up staying with Natwest
managed to get 5.85% fixed for two years with £500 fee, best I had from a broker was 5.77% with a £1000
fee plus £250 for him.
I was in my bank for about an hour in the end but it was well worth it though.
Have to admit I have an account with the bank so got an extra 1% discount, I guess other banks will do the same if not then join Natwest I guess.

Yeah maybe doh!, was just glad to get the monthly payments down to below 600 to be honest...it was due to go up to £735 on the standard rate
, the cheeky gits tryed to add another £400 too as I increased my mortgage by a grand, but it didn't take too much convincing to get them to wave that one.

At least you sorted a deal out.
I've got 3.5 years of a fixed rate so ok.
A workmate had his fixed rate run out today and got hit with a £240 PM hike!
He had a new mortgage sorted in about 40 mins.

I thought the housing market was starting to settle so why they need to put up the rates again I dont know, guess it must be something else driving the inflation now(not that I want to start talking economy

Re-mortgaging is **** easy really just shop around and check for hidden fees, if you don't want to do it yourself just get a broker to deal with it.
