I hired one several years ago and have to say I liked it. It is a quickish car but obviously not scooby quick.

The biggest let down is the front wheel drive.

Just beware of the timing chain, My Dad owned one, his snapped after 12 months (luckily under warranty) and I know several people with the same problem. Personally having driven both I would go for the v6.

Bad build quality on the old vectras agreed but the v6 gsi and sri's are not too bad. Not great acceleration due to the colossal weight of the flywheel ,but 70+ come into their stride.

They go ok, but feel flimsy.

I'm only going by the couple I've driven through work where they get driven on the limit and are found wanting and breathless.

Fine for normal use, as long as cornering isn't an issue
