Save our Scooby
THANK YOU SO MUCH! We have reached our target.. please do not send any more money for now! THANK YOU!"
Current total so far £1479.00
I would like to offer a huge Thanks to Scoobynet for letting us post this up
It has not been an easy descision to make, and we have been so overwhelmd by everyone's response as many many of you will know from this thread https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...lot-blood.html
Donna (D.K.1) & Myself would like to thank everyone for being so incredible during what has been a very difficult and traumatic week for us, that still seemingly has no end
Our plight really does show what the Scoobynet Community is all about, and we are so so grateful and thankful for the massive show of support, both in words, pm's, phone calls and offers of contribution towards Scooby's costs, and without it we would be so lost
It is true that the costs are huge, and we're not sure how we're going to cover them. but We never wanted to accept any money towards Scooby's costs, but due to this post https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...nics-post.html, and the number of people suggesting setting up a Save our Scooby fund, which actually brought tears to our eyes, I have setup a Paypal account for any donations however small that you may want to contribute towards
It is steve_lunt2003@yahoo.co.uk, and that anyone who wants to donate, can you please post on this thread, so everyone can keep track on what we have raised so far
The costs are ongoing but Webby has asked us to come up with a target figure which we've worked out at £1600 this will cover everything from now as we have covered all of Scooby's costs upto this evening
Now there is a good chance that this figure may well increase or decrease depending on a number of unknown and uncontrollable circumstances
One is if Scooby suffers any more major bleeds, and two also how well he will respond to the treatment and how many actual courses of treatment he will ultimately need, this is no quick fix sadly, and every day is going to be a testing day hoping that he does not bleed any further
If (god forbid) Scooby doesn't make it, we'll donate any remaining funds to a charity we'll all select together.
All reciepts will be kept and scanned in and posted so that everyone can see where the money has gone
Again we would like to offer a massive Thank you to Scoobynet and everyone who donates, and also to everyone who has offered us support in true Scoobynet Community spirit, and if there is ever any way we can repay everyone then we will
Scooby needs to get better and *ahem* needs a little more training out in public as he will be making a special guest appearance at ScoobyLive 2008
And finally a quick message from Scooby
Thank you all

Gonna be a pain here
I presume there should'nt be a space between steve and lunt as PayPal would'nt take it with the space between, and don't fancy topping somebody elses account other than scooby's

£30 is certainly nothing to be sniffed at, we are grateful for anything, even the tinyest amount anyone could offer, so there was no need for the apology by any means!
A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, you're all making me well up again Thank you just doesn't seem enough for how I feel or for what you lot are doing

Sonic thanx for PM'ing your address, I'll send a cheque off asap, dunno how much for untill I check my bank account, I'll post the exact amount here later on
PS. I'll also become a full member of Scoobynet as a thank you to the webmaster and Admin staff for allowing this thread, other forums would simply bin the idea and carry on as normal, so well done to the Admin staff

Perhaps some clever computer geek could arrange to have a thumbnail piccie of Scooby at the top of this thread?? The one where he is sorting of looking at you with that sad imploring look as you write out a cheque
