Would you rather be in work or in prison...?
Prison Or Work??
IN PRISON.......You spend the majority of your time in an 8x10 cell.
AT WORK........You spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle.
IN PRISON.......You get three meals a day.
AT WORK........You get a break for 1 meal and you have to pay for it.
IN PRISON.......You get time off for good behaviour.
AT WORK........You get rewarded for good behaviour with more work.
IN PRISON.......A guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK........You must carry around a security card and unlock and open all the doors yourself.
IN PRISON........You can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK.........You get fired for watching TV and playing games.
IN PRISON.......You get your own toilet.
AT WORK........You have to share.
IN PRISON.......They allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK........You cannot even speak to your family and friends.
IN PRISON.......All expenses are paid by taxpayers with no work required.
AT WORK........You get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from you salary to pay for prisoners.
IN PRISON.......You spend most of your life looking through bars from inside wanting to get out.
AT WORK........You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.
IN PRISON......There are wardens who are often sadistic.
AT WORK.......They are called supervisors.
IN PRISON.......You have unlimited time to read e-mail jokes.
AT WORK........You get fired if you get caught.

And if you've been put inside for anything 'scary' - sex crimes or crimes against kids - you're generally segregated from the rest of the prison population.
Not that they're luxurious by any stretch at all - but because you don't have to worry about anything while you're in there, many of the inmates dread their release date and plan to re-offend ASAP to get back inside. Usally drink or drugs related.
Where most of us are scared to go inside - many of them are scared to come out for fear of not being able to cope.

PS3's werent allowed as they have wireless, so they had to stick with PS2's
They do have mobile phones though, drugs on tap, snooker, pool, the Gym, education, full time employment (keeps em off the wings)
And yes they do have internet too

My ****** of a nephew (not my side of the family) has just been sent down again for the 3rd time, aside from him getting a ludicrously light sentence each time (which is another debate entirely) I have to say he has it pretty cushy inside when all things are considered.
So much so he actually says he quite enjoys it
Unless he misbehaves.. which is when things do get "really tough", they take away the cable tv, gym access, limit his phone access to a call a day and visitation rights are restricted down to 2 visits a week.
But basically he says it's alright really.. especially if he keeps his nose clean, apart from the stuff above not being restricted, he says he gets to basically sit about doing **** all most of the day watching tv and smoking. He has an occasional stroll outside in the yard, goes to the gym 3 times a week, says he eats better food than he does outside, plus it's cooked for him 3 times a day. To earn a bit of cash he "works" in the I.T. Suite, which basically means he gets to sit surfing a few hours each day! Or sometime he "works" in the garage which means he gets to learn how to nick cars quicker!

No question about it, it would scare me but a far greater percentage of inmates return for second time (so they are not that scared) than most holiday parks can make claim to about their guests.

If you really, and I mean 'really' don't like your job, then I can understand where you're coming from.
I love my job on the other hand, so f%ck the prision option!
I like going home of an evening knowing that 'I' have paid for the front door that I walk through, the sofa I sit on and the 32' LCD tv I watch.
Not a lot can beat that feeling.
